FAQs
The GlucoSensor™ Q Starter Set costs €89.95 and includes two GlucoSensor Q continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensors, giving you up to 4 weeks of valuable glucose insights.
Each GlucoSensor Q sensor can be worn for up to 14 days and continuously measures your glucose throughout the day. The sensor and transmitter are fully integrated into one compact device, so there is no separate transmitter to attach, charge or reuse.
Adhesive overpatches are included free of charge to help keep the sensors securely in place. The Starter Set is our recommended option for anyone who wants to start using GlucoSensor Q and gain a clearer understanding of how food, exercise and daily habits affect their glucose and metabolic health.
If a GlucoSensor Q reading seems unusually high or low, does not match how you feel, or differs significantly from what you expect, check your glucose with a finger-prick blood glucose meter before making decisions based on the CGM reading.
CGM systems measure glucose in interstitial fluid rather than directly in the blood, so temporary differences between CGM readings and blood glucose values can occur, particularly when glucose levels are changing rapidly.
If unexpected readings continue, check that the sensor is correctly positioned and securely attached, and consult the GlucoSensor Q Instructions for Use and troubleshooting information on our website. If the issue persists, contact GlucoSensor customer support for further assistance.
If your symptoms do not match your GlucoSensor Q reading, always base immediate treatment decisions on a blood glucose meter and seek medical advice when appropriate.
After the GlucoSensor Q Starter Set, the most cost-effective options are the 3-Pack or the GlucoSensor Q subscription, depending on how you prefer to use continuous glucose monitoring.
The 3-Pack offers a lower price per sensor than purchasing individual sensors, without a subscription or ongoing commitment. It is a flexible option if you want to continue monitoring your glucose whenever it suits you.
For the lowest price per sensor and maximum convenience, the GlucoSensor Q subscription is the best-value option. New sensors are delivered automatically, so you do not need to reorder each time. You can easily manage, pause or cancel your subscription yourself at any time through your account on the GlucoSensor website.
Whichever option you choose, every GlucoSensor Q is an all-in-one CGM sensor with the sensor and transmitter fully integrated, so there is no separate transmitter to purchase, charge or replace.
Yes. GlucoSensor Q is a CE-marked continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system and is placed on the European market in accordance with the applicable EU requirements for medical devices.
The CE marking confirms that the GlucoSensor Q system has undergone the required conformity assessment for its intended use and meets the applicable requirements for safety and performance.
No. GlucoSensor Q is currently not reimbursed by health insurance.
GlucoSensor Q is specifically aimed at the large group of people who do not qualify for reimbursement of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) through their health insurer and therefore pay for their sensors themselves.
At present, GlucoSensor Q is available on a self-pay basis. Reimbursement options may be introduced in the near future.
The GlucoSensor Q sensor has an IP27 water-resistance rating and is designed for normal daily activities, including showering and swimming.
The sensor can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1 metre deep for a maximum of 30 minutes. For additional security, especially during swimming, exercise or other activities that may affect adhesion, we recommend using the included adhesive overpatch to help keep the sensor securely in place.
Prolonged exposure to water, and particularly chlorinated water in swimming pools or hot tubs, may affect the sensor’s adhesion. After swimming or showering, gently dry the sensor and the surrounding area and check that it remains securely attached.
GlucoSensor Q – Instructions for Use
The Instructions for Use (IFU) provide essential information on the safe and correct use of the GlucoSensor™ Q CGM system. They explain how to place and use the sensor, connect it to the GlucoSensor Q app, interpret glucose information, and follow important safety instructions.
A printed copy of the Instructions for Use is included in the product packaging. You can also access the Instructions for Use online in your selected website language.
Please read the Instructions for Use carefully before using GlucoSensor Q for the first time.
