How the GlucoSensor™ System Works
The GlucoSensor™ system is designed to make glucose monitoring simple, comfortable, and effortless. It consists of just three main parts:
- The Sensor – a small, disposable device that is applied to the skin. A tiny, flexible filament is placed just beneath the skin, where it continuously measures your glucose levels, day and night. The application is easy, quick and painless. Each sensor is worn for 10 days and then replaced with a new one.
- The Transmitter – a small, reusable device that clicks onto the sensor. It sends your glucose readings via Bluetooth directly to the GlucoSensor™ App on your smartphone. The transmitter only needs to be purchased once and lasts up to 3 years. It’s already included in the Starter Kit, so you’re fully equipped from the start.
- The App – The GlucoSensor™ App gives you instant insight into your glucose levels and trends. Your data appears in real time, helping you understand how food, activity and stress affect your body. It’s simple, smart and automatic.
Once you’ve applied your first sensor and attached the transmitter, the system automatically starts sending your glucose data to the app. You can easily follow your glucose trends, see how food, exercise, or stress affect your levels, and make better daily choices. All without finger pricks or complicated steps.
Replacing a sensor is just as easy: simply remove the old sensor, gently detach the transmitter, apply a new sensor and click the transmitter back on. The app will continue tracking your glucose automatically.

This makes it the most affordable way to start with CGM: only €37.50 for the transmitter (lasting 3 years) and an exceptionally low €23.50 per 10-day sensor.
The GlucoSensor™ Starter Kit includes two 10-day sensors and a reusable transmitter. For additional sensors, you can order individual sets of 3 sensors at €37.50 per sensor. Alternatively, you can opt for a quarterly subscription which includes 9 sensors at a price of €33.25 per sensor. The quarterly subscription also includes free shipping and can be easily paused or canceled. The transmitter is a one-time purchase as it lasts for 3 years. The Starter Kit is priced at €84.50. Yes, the GlucoSensor™ CGM is CE-certified, indicating that it complies with all applicable EU regulations for health, safety, and environmental protection standards.
We understand the critical role a CGM system plays in effective diabetes management, understanding, and overall well-being. Currently, many individuals with diabetes do not qualify for insurance reimbursement of CGM sensors and must cover these expenses out of pocket. To support this large group, we are offering our GlucoSensor™ sensors at a specially reduced price. Following our launch, we plan to engage in discussions with insurers to explore the possibility of having our sensors reimbursed in the near future.
The GlucoSensor™ CGM system is rated IPX7, making it waterproof and able to withstand exposure to water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. We strongly advise using an overlay patch to reinforce adhesion. GlucoSensor™ supplies two different types of overlay patches per sensor which can be used together for maximum protection. If moisture enters between the sensor and transmitter, detach the transmitter, wipe the area, and reconnect. Be cautious of exposure to chlorine such as in swimming pools or jacuzzis as chlorine acts as a solvent and can significantly increase the risk of the CGM becoming detached.
If your GlucoSensor™ CGM system displays abnormal values, you should always verify these readings with a finger prick test using a traditional blood glucose meter. This ensures the accuracy and reliability of your glucose readings. If the discrepancy persists, consult the GlucoSensor™ user manual and tutorials on the website for troubleshooting steps or contact customer support for further assistance. Regularly cross-checking your CGM readings with traditional methods helps maintain effective diabetes management and accurate monitoring.
